Las Vegas Elopement | Bre + Josh's Epic Wedding Adventure

Are you dreaming of a fun, unforgettable wedding experience? Consider eloping in Las Vegas—it’s the perfect place for couples looking for a unique, adventurous way to say “I do.” As a wedding photographer, I’ve had the chance to capture some incredible elopements, and Bre and Josh’s Las Vegas wedding is one of my favorites!

Why Las Vegas is Perfect for Elopements

Las Vegas is known as the elopement capital of the world, and for good reason. Whether you're planning a quick ceremony or a full-on wedding adventure, Vegas has everything you need for a memorable day. From drive-through chapels to stunning desert landscapes, the options are endless. Plus, there’s no waiting period for marriage licenses, making it easy for couples to tie the knot fast.

When my sister Bre told me she wanted to elope in Las Vegas, I couldn’t have been more excited. I knew this would be a day to remember, and I was beyond honored to photograph their special moments. So, after finishing a wedding the night before, I hopped on a plane, pulled an all-nighter, and headed to Vegas!

The Perfect Stay: MGM Grand's Signature Suites

For anyone planning a destination wedding or elopement in Las Vegas, I highly recommend staying at The Signature at MGM Grand. It’s where we stayed for Bre and Josh's big day, and having balconies with incredible views made it even more special. The suites are spacious, luxurious, and offer a little peace and quiet in the heart of Vegas—a perfect place to relax before your wedding.

The Ceremony at The Little White Wedding Chapel

Bre and Josh wanted a ceremony that was fun, unique, and totally "them," and what better place than The Little White Wedding Chapel? It’s one of the most iconic wedding spots in Vegas, known for its celebrity weddings and fun vibes. They even offer ceremonies with Elvis—because what’s a Vegas wedding without the King?

Bre and Josh's ceremony was everything they dreamed of. We rode to the chapel in style, thanks to a pink hummer limo, which added an extra splash of fun to the day. As their photographer (and sister!), I signed as their witness. They chose to get married in the chapel's famous pink Cadillac with Elvis presiding over the ceremony. He even serenaded them during the vows, and it was hands-down one of the most epic wedding moments I’ve ever captured!

Things to Keep in Mind for Your Las Vegas Elopement

If you’re thinking about eloping in Las Vegas, here are a few tips to make your day as smooth and fun as possible:

  1. Choose Your Venue Wisely: Whether you want a quick ceremony at a chapel like Bre and Josh, or something more extravagant, Las Vegas has venues to match any style.

  2. Book in Advance: Although Vegas weddings can be spontaneous, it’s a good idea to book your venue, limo, and photographer ahead of time, especially during busy seasons.

  3. Marriage License: Don’t forget to get your marriage license! Las Vegas makes it easy with no waiting period, but you’ll need to visit the Marriage License Bureau before your ceremony.

  4. Plan Transportation: A fun limo ride or unique transportation option can elevate the experience. Plus, it’s a great way to keep the celebration going between venues!

  5. Add a Personal Touch: Bre made her own bouquet, which added a sweet, personal touch to her elopement. Consider adding DIY elements to make your day even more special.

Celebrate Like a Vegas Local

After their ceremony, Bre and Josh were ready to celebrate! We spent the rest of the evening bar-hopping, hitting up some of the best spots on the Strip, and testing our luck at the casinos. A Vegas elopement isn’t complete without a little post-ceremony adventure, and there’s no shortage of places to celebrate in style.

Extend the Fun with a Destination Wedding Experience

One of the best things about a Las Vegas elopement is the opportunity to turn your wedding into a mini-vacation. Bre, Josh, and the rest of us spent the next few days exploring Vegas and the surrounding areas. From the dazzling nightlife to nearby outdoor attractions like Red Rock Canyon, there’s so much to see and do. If you're planning to elope in Las Vegas, consider staying a few extra days to soak in everything this vibrant city has to offer.

Ready to Elope in Las Vegas?

Whether you’re planning a simple ceremony or a full destination wedding experience, eloping in Las Vegas is a perfect choice for adventurous couples. The memories Bre and Josh created here will last a lifetime, and I’m so thankful to have been part of it.
